Introduction to ArcView
This two-day course, to be taught in the Fall of 2001 at Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon, gives the hands-on experience and conceptual overview needed to take full advantage of the latest version (3.2) of ArcView GIS software. The course follows the ESRI developed syllabus. Participants will become familiar with the components of ArcView's graphical user interface (GUI). They will also learn to use ArcView's data creation, editing, querying, and analysis functions to present this information in the form of maps and charts.
To help students receive maximum benefit from the class, two students will work at each PC. Class space is limited to sixteen students per session.
This two-day session costs $450 per student. The regular ESRI cost for this same two-day class is $800. Class fee includes course book and training data to be used in class. Certificates will be presented upon completion of final course exercise. Previous experience working in Windows preferred. No experience with mapping or GIS necessary.

The April 13th & 14th, 2001 class will be taught at the Geography Lab at Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon. A parking pass and map to the building will be provided with your registration confirmation letter.
